Maureen, I canceled the OT appointment because you didn’t communiate with me about it or give me any details. In order for us to coparent together, you need to keep me in the loop.

The kids brought up Fall baseball yesterday. They mentioned that the baseball games will occur on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am willing to support and have Trent participate in baseball. I do not think that it is reasonable or prudent for Ty to participate in fall baseball.

I am concerned about Ty being too over scheduled. This fall Ty will have a lot on his plate, at least because of the increasing demands of junior high, honors level math and science courses, trombone practice and lessons, and church activities on Wednesday nights amongst other things. I do not think it is wise to add fall baseball which would entail practice, pre-game practice and one or two games a week.

Ty is already struggling with anxiety, adding more to Ty’s schedule is likely to ramp up his anxiety more. Ty is very talented with regard to math, science and intellectual pursuits. I am in support of those endeavors and would like to see him continue to excel in those areas. For now, becoming comfortable with and succeeding as a student in junior high should be a top priority. I see fall baseball as being a hindrance to that.

Also, Fall baseball will interfere with Ty being able to attend young men’s activities at church on Wednesday nights. That is more important to me than baseball.

Ty also has trombone. If he is going to achieve and excel at that, I imagine Ty will continue to attend trombone lessons and practice.

Those are my thoughts on and reasoning for not supporting Ty in fall baseball.
